How WebEngage works
You will have first have to integrate the WebEngage SDK on your website and mobile apps so that WebEngage can receive your user and events data. You then will need to configure the various channels of engagement on WebEngage to be able to message your users. WebEngage provides integrations with AWS, SendGrid, Mandrill, Twilio and other tools, so that you can use your existing service provider for Email and SMS.
Get more out of WebEngage with Segment
Segment makes it easy to integrate WebEngage across all platforms: Website, Android, iOS and Server. As soon as you integrate WebEngage with Segment, WebEngage will start receiving the user and event data from Segment in the format required. You will be able to view your analytics data and also create campaigns through the WebEngage dashboard. In-app and on-site engagement channels will be available to use as soon as the Segment integration is done. The only other configuration you will have to do is to set up push, SMS, web push and email in the WebEngage dashboard.
