Madkudu works by applying machine learning algorithms to your customer data to score leads based on their past activity or attributes. The more relevant data Madkudu has access to, the more accurate its scoring system will be for your leads. To get started, the Madkudu team will help customize the algorithm to your business based on all your past history of user activity, user attributes, and sales. In order to collect realtime information about your new leads and run the data through the Madkudu algorithm, you’ll need to add hooks into your site or app for events the user does or attributes they have. That data is also used to improve lead scoring with each deal that gets closed. This setup requires custom coding to into your site.

When you use Segment to send data to Madkudu there are two huge advantages. The first is that you don’t have to do additional coding work to get relevant data into Madkudu. Your Segment data about who customers are, where they are on your site or app, and what they’re doing is all made available to Madkudu to be used for lead scoring and improving the algorithm.
The second, and best, part about using Madkudu with Segment is the automated propagation of lead scores out to all of your Segment integrations. Whenever a lead score is updated in Madkudu, it gets sent back through Segment as a user trait via the
identify call and that trait then appears in all your Segment integrations that accept user traits. This means you can act on the lead score using any of the tools you like for site testing and customization, analytics, user communication, sales and support, or in your Segment data warehouse.
