How Hull works
Without Segment, installing the hull.js snippet into your page’s
HEAD tag lets you authenticate users and perform API calls from your browser. However, in order to build out your user profiles and segmentations from data gathered across your other Hull connected tools, you’ll need to connect them individually. Each Hull “connector” has its own documentation for installation and sends different events and attributes.
Get more out of Hull with Segment
In addition to being able to send all the customer data you collect from your websites, mobile apps, and servers into Hull without touching any code or tracking documentation, you can use Hull with Segment to send information in both directions. With Hull you can compute traits on customers based on anything they’ve done in the other tools you’ve connected to Hull, then turn around and forward that computed information back into Segment to proliferate through to your other integrations easily.
